Tormore Distillery spent decades as a workhorse, supplying spirit for blends like Ballantine's and Chivas Regal. When Elixir Distillers acquired the distillery in 2022, co-founder Sukhinder Singh recognised something the previous owner had overlooked: a fruit-forward character with genuine potential. The 12 Year Old proves the point. This release blends bourbon casks, toasted American oak, and cream sherry-seasoned casks—a carefully considered mix designed to protect Tormore's delicate peach and pear notes from being bulldozed by oak.

On the nose: peach tart, roasted almonds, and honeysuckle. The palate brings poached pear and cream, with subtle coconut in the background. The finish is soft and nourishing, lingering gently without aggression.
