Barrel Beast, the German independent bottler, announces RAISIN SUN — the fourth exclusive release from its acclaimed Unleashed Octave Series. This strictly limited edition comprises just 99 bottles of 500 ml and represents another pinnacle in the bottler's reputation for quality and authenticity.

Production Details

This Speyside single malt was distilled in 2016 and has matured for eight years in a First Fill PX Octave cask. Bottled at cask strength with 55.3% ABV, without added colour or chill filtration, RAISIN SUN adheres to Barrel Beast's uncompromising quality standards. The Pedro Ximénez Octave cask — a small 50-litre vessel — maximises wood contact and delivers exceptional complexity and depth.

Tasting Profile

The nose reveals fresh flowers, dried fruits, and citrus with a malty foundation. The palate presents citrus, caramel, and toffee notes with a subtle medicinal edge and cherry character. The finish is medium-long to long, featuring dried fruits, caramel, toffee, ginger, and cherry.
