P&M is a unique whisky born from a creative collaboration on the French island of Corsica. It is a co-production between Pietra, a brewery founded in 1996, and Mavela, a distillery on the island. Pietra produces the wash, while Mavela handles the distillation, making P&M one of the most distinctive and geographically intriguing whiskies in Europe. Corsica's Mediterranean climate and local heritage give this spirit a truly singular character that sets it apart from mainland French and Scottish productions. P&M offers several expressions, including P&M Blend, P&M Blend Supérieur, and P&M Pure Malt. The Blend is described as aromatic with a complex bouquet, partly composed of the Pure Malt expression. The range reflects the island's ambition to craft whisky with a distinct Corsican identity, drawing on local ingredients and traditional distilling know-how. P&M also produces a Single Corn expression made from organic maize, further demonstrating the brand's commitment to diverse and innovative whisky styles. P&M has gained recognition in whisky reference works such as Charles MacLean's Eyewitness Companions Whiskey and is highlighted as the primary whisky produced on Corsica. The brand has attracted the attention of the Rémy Cointreau Group, which has included P&M in its portfolio, helping to promote this distinctive island whisky on a global stage.
