P&M began in 2000 when the Pietra brewery and Mavela estate joined forces to make whisky on Corsica itself — an unusual venture in France. This is the island's first single malt fully produced locally: mashed, fermented, and distilled from Pietra malt, then matured in oak barrels sourced from the neighbouring Domaine Gentile vineyard. The Signature expression is restrained and approachable at 42% ABV.

The nose opens with cereal and green notes alongside ripe fruit and vanilla. The palate is gentle — oak and caramel lead, followed by hints of wax and pepper. The finish is short to medium, with oak and light caramel fading steadily.
