Nomad Reserve is the product of a collaboration between Richard Paterson, Master Distiller at The Dalmore, and González Byass, the acclaimed sherry producer from Jerez. This blended whisky begins its ten-year journey in Scotland, where a blend of single malts and grain whiskies matures for six years in bourbon casks before moving to Jerez for two additional years in used sherry casks.

The triple cask approach—bourbon, sherry, and a third maturation vessel—creates a layered composition that weaves Scottish craftsmanship with Spanish sherry tradition. This is not a generic blended whisky, but a considered blend of five- to nine-year-old whiskies, supplemented with a small percentage of grain whisky.
