William Lawson

William Lawson's is a blended Scotch whisky brand with roots stretching back to around 1889, when it was created by E&J Burke, a Dublin-based blending and export company established in 1849. Over the decades, the brand changed hands several times before landing with rum specialist Bacardi, which acquired Martini & Rossi in 1993 and with it the William Lawson blended Scotch brand. Today, William Lawson's sits within Bacardi's whisky portfolio alongside well-known names such as Dewar's, Aberfeldy, Aultmore, Craigellachie, and The Deveron. As a blended Scotch whisky, William Lawson's is known for its accessible, approachable style that has earned it a broad international following. The range includes expressions such as William Lawson's Finest and a 12 Year Old, in which all whiskies used in the blend are aged for a minimum of 12 years. The brand's single malt component was historically marketed under the Glen Deveron name, underlining its Scottish distilling heritage. William Lawson's has grown into one of Bacardi's most significant Scotch whisky brands, often cited as a top-selling label in key international markets. Its combination of Scottish tradition and wide commercial appeal makes it a recognisable name on the global whisky stage.
