About
Talisker 30 Years represents the pinnacle of the distillery's craft, a rare single malt from Scotland's Isle of Skye matured in both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. With only approximately 3,000 bottles produced worldwide, this prestigious release showcases the remarkable complexity that three decades of aging can achieve. The whisky balances smoky intensity with maritime character and subtle sweetness, creating a sophisticated and deeply rewarding dram. The nose reveals soft white fruits and peaches alongside distinctive smoke, followed by a salty edge. On the palate, the whisky presents a pleasantly smoky and dry character enriched with warming spice—ginger, clove, and pepper—alongside iodine and medicinal peat notes. Citrus and honey emerge mid-palate, while the creamy oak provides a luxurious texture. The finish is notably long and salty, with seaweed and a satisfying dryness that lingers. Best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to fully appreciate its layered complexity and maritime heritage.
