Millstone American Oak is a refined Dutch single malt whisky crafted by the Zuidam Distillery in Baarle-Nassau. This whisky presents a sophisticated balance of fruity and sweet notes, meticulously created through a clear, pure wort and an extended, cool fermentation. Maturation in American oak casks adds an additional layer of complexity to its flavor profile. Upon tasting, fresh and fruity notes are followed by hints of honey and delicate spices. The nose reveals aromas of hard candy, marmalade, and a touch of coconut and honey. On the palate, delicate sweetness and notes of oak emerge, along with raisins in chocolate and a slightly leathery character. A surprisingly fresh finish with hints of citrus and tropical fruit completes the experience.
