Wolfburn Morven is a refined single malt whisky from the Highlands of Scotland. Established in 2013, the Wolfburn distillery has quickly gained a reputation for its unique approach to whisky production. Morven is their only lightly peated expression, crafted from malted barley infused with smoke during drying. This whisky perfectly balances traditional craftsmanship with modern influences. The tasting experience is intriguing. On the nose, fresh notes of juicy apple and white grape are complemented by an earthy, mineral peat aroma. The palate reveals nutty malt flavors that pair well with soft smoke and hints of lemon and vanilla. The finish is soft, offering a subtle honey sweetness with a touch of salty liquorice. Morven is best enjoyed neat but also pairs excellently with smoked fish or a cheese platter featuring soft cheeses, enhancing its smoky and fruity elements.
