Ardnamurchan AD Heritage is a tribute to traditional craftsmanship and refinement, hailing from the rugged landscapes of Scotland. Bottled at 59.2% ABV, this expression is crafted from 100% unpeated Golden Promise malted barley and matured in ex-American bourbon barrels since 2018. The result is a whisky that is both powerful and elegant, with a deep connection to its origin. Upon the first nose, fresh and vibrant aromas emerge, reminiscent of freshly opened milk chocolate digestive biscuits, glacé cherries, and lime cordial. A hint of marzipan and apricot jam adds subtle sweetness, while acacia honey on sourdough toast and salted preserved lemons tantalize the senses. The palate offers a rich and creamy experience, with notes of orange polenta cake and baked apples, rounded off by nutty accents of sugared almonds and salted cashews. The finish is medium in length, with soft orchard fruit tones, a sweet nuttiness, and a last sip of espresso leaving a lasting impression.
