Virgin Oak

21-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon
Stronachie is a revived Speyside distillery, brought back to life in the early 2000s by A.D. Rattray, the Glasgow-based merchant and cask selector established in 1868. The original distillery rose from the Ochil Mountains of Perthshire in the 1890s; this 10-year-old expression honours that heritage with a straightforward Speyside character.
The nose reveals soft honey, earthy heather, and malty sweetness—hallmarks of the region. On the palate, the whisky is smooth and luscious, with lingering honey and biscuit notes, followed by oak bitterness in the finish. This is no showboating dram, but rather a balanced, traditional single malt that respects its age and maturation.
