About
Murray McDavid was founded in 1994 by Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Gordon Wright of Springbank Distillery. The brand name honours Reynier's grandparents, Harriet Murray and Jock McDavid — a legacy that continues to shape the company's commitment to independent bottling and craftsmanship. Cask Craft is a collection of single malts sourced from across Scotland, each matured in different wood types to showcase the interplay between spirit and cask. This approach allows Murray McDavid to highlight each distillery's character while exploring how wood influences the final profile. At 44.5% ABV, the bottling delivers accessible yet full-bodied drinking. The nose presents a well-balanced blend of sweet, fruity and spicy character. The palate shows creamy texture with notes of vanilla and white pepper, supported by subtle smoke. The finish is clean and defined, exemplifying the oak-and-spirit balance that defines the Cask Craft range.
