Arran Distillery was founded in 1994 by Harold Currie, a former Chivas director and D-Day veteran, with the vision of building a distillery on the Isle of Arran. Production officially began in 1995, and three years later, film star Ewan McGregor ceremonially opened the first cask. This Single Malt represents the heart of Arran's identity: a whisky that captures the fresh, fruity character of the island. The spirit is crafted from carefully selected malted barley and matured in hand-picked casks. At 46% ABV, this bottling delivers a full, unfiltered experience without chill-filtering, preserving the whisky's natural character. On the nose, vanilla and exotic fruits emerge—pineapple, mango, and coconut—alongside subtle notes of apple and orange peel. The palate is creamy and sweet, with hints of cinnamon and honey supporting the fruity core. The finish remains soft and balanced, with a gentle spice that rounds out the dram.
