The Prisoner's Share is a collaboration between High West Distillery and The Prisoner Wine Company, both owned by Constellation Brands. This limited release blends straight bourbon and rye whiskeys aged 4–12 years, finished in The Prisoner's red wine barrels. Bottled at 46% ABV, the blend reveals a layered profile on the nose: cherry blossom, pomegranate, macerated prunes, and toasted cedar chips. The palate brings honey-roasted notes, smoked apple, and vanilla custard, with clove and dark fruit—plums, black grapes, and tart red currants—adding depth and complexity. The finish is decidedly sweet, with lingering red wine, boysenberry preserve, raisins, and brown sugar that leave a warm, fruit-forward impression.
