The Teeling name traces back to 1782, when Walter Teeling established a small distillery on Marrowbone Lane in Dublin. After two centuries of silence, brothers Jack and Stephen Teeling reopened Dublin's first new distillery in 125 years in 2015, driven by the same vision: restoring Irish whiskey to the world stage. This Single Malt is crafted from 100% malted barley and matured across five different wine casks, each imparting its own influence. The nose reveals ripe orchard fruit—melon, pear, pineapple—alongside vanilla and honey. On the palate, the red wine casks assert themselves: tannins provide structure, while notes of spice, honey, and white grape interplay. The finish is dry and measured, with a light bitterness that anchors the complexity. This is a whisky that honours Irish tradition without being bound by it—refined, but without pretension.
