Fragrant Drops is the independent bottling venture of George and Rachel Keeble, based in Edinburgh. The brand name—literally 'fragrant drops'—reflects their commitment to aroma and meticulous detail in every release. This 29-year-old Lowland grain whisky is a rare example of extended maturation in the grain category, where subtlety and complexity have developed over decades. Lowland grain whiskies are traditionally lighter and more floral than their malted counterparts, yet this mature expression shows how time and careful cask selection can build genuine depth. At 50.90% ABV, the whisky retains character without excessive alcohol heat. On the nose, fragrant woody notes emerge—cedar and spruce—with a peppery spice edge and leafy mint undertones. The palate delivers buttery biscuit and sweet cereal character, while the finish lingers with that same fragrant, woody refinement. A whisky that rewards patient nosing and sipping.
