Yam Jam is the product of a collaboration between Maker's Mark and Kelsey Plum, two-time WNBA champion and Olympic gold medalist. Plum visited Star Hill Farm, home of the Maker's Mark Distillery, to participate in the brand's Private Selection program—an experience that allows creators to customize the finishing process of Maker's Mark bourbon. The result reflects her approach: thoughtful, precise, and intentional. Bottled at 55.65% ABV, Yam Jam is built on Maker's Mark's signature red winter wheat mash bill and finished with ten different wood staves, giving it a character that extends beyond the standard expression. The bourbon opens with bright chili spice and citrus, balanced by toasted oak and white pepper. The palate evolves into sweet potato pie, toasted pecan, and soft baking spices. The finish lingers with baking chocolate, pie cherries, and orange rind—vibrant and memorable. Proceeds from this limited release support the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, reflecting Plum's commitment beyond the basketball court.
