About
Glen Talloch is one of the Netherlands' best-selling budget blends, and for good reason: it is an accessible, straightforward whisky that does the job. The brand was established in the 1970s and has been produced according to a classic recipe by Whyte & Mackay, blending roughly 30% single malt from well-known Scottish distilleries (including Balblair, Knockdhu, and Aberfeldy) with grain whisky. This 12-year-old expression presents a light, floral nose with hints of vanilla and apple, supported by gentle malty notes. The palate is thin and creamy, with tones of toffee and vanilla, though lacking significant body or complexity. The finish is short and sweet, with grainy undertones and a touch of pepper. This is not a whisky for the purist, but rather for those seeking something simple and pleasant without pretension. Well-suited for everyday drinking or as an introduction to Scotch whisky.
