Fib Whisky was founded in 2021 with a vision rooted in Pictish symbolism and mythology—the name itself references the legendary Pictish king. 'The Spirit of our Ancestors' embodies this heritage: a blend that marries Speyside character with Highland influences, a fusion that speaks to Scotland's ancient stories. This 10-year-old blend is bottled at cask strength (59.2%), marking a full, uncompromised expression. The composition balances malt and grain characters, with notes of toffee, honey, and subtle wood that typify mature Speyside blends. On the nose, honey and barley sugar emerge, with hints of biscuit and light wooden elegance. The palate is full and peppery—the high ABV delivers warmth, but beneath lie sweet notes of toffee and crème brûlée, interspersed with grainy character. The finish is dry and persistent, oak tones lingering long.
