This marks the second collaboration between Chichibu Distillery and London's iconic Selfridges department store, following an inaugural partnership in 2019. Only 195 bottles were produced from this single cask distilled in 2018, matured for seven years in first-fill bourbon barrel and bottled in 2025 at cask strength. The label design draws inspiration from Selfridges' celebrated theatrical window displays, which function as art installations central to the retailer's identity. Founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2004 and beginning production in 2008, the distillery is renowned for its intimate approach and meticulous craftsmanship. Bottled non-chilled filtered with no added colour, this release allows the spirit's true character to emerge unadorned. The nose leads with candied citrus and roasted orchard fruits, complemented by honeysuckle and a gentle hint of sweet cinnamon. On the palate, the whisky is rich and full-bodied, revealing layers of ripe peach and brown sugar, finishing with a warming, lingering vanilla sweetness.
