About
Glencadam refreshes its look in 2026, but the contents remain true to form—a 10-year-old Highland single malt matured in ex-bourbon casks, bottled at a full 46% ABV without artificial colouring or chill filtration. A statement of integrity over marketing shortcuts. Glencadam carries a reputation for softness and approachability, yet this 2026 release surprises with unexpected depth. The nose reveals custard, cream bun notes, lemon curd, stewed banana, honey and elderflower, with citrus and green apple providing brightness. Brioche and tropical fruit emerge on closer inspection. The palate delivers brioche, citrus fruits and lemon curd, joined by nutmeg and black pepper that introduce subtle warmth. The finish is medium-length and fruity—yellow fruits, lemon zest and vanilla backed by malt and light tannins, concluding with grassy freshness. An ideal whisky-evening opener: accessible without being simple, flavourful without pretension.
