About
Wolfburn was founded in 1821 by William Smith on the outskirts of Thurso, in Scotland's far north. The distillery takes its name from the Wolf Burn, the watercourse that flows through the site and into the North Sea. This 7-year-old single grain is a rare expression of young, unfiltered Highland grain spirit. Matured in a refill Oloroso cask, the whisky develops fruity and spicy character. Bottled at 52% ABV, it delivers full flavour without dilution. On the nose, bright apple and nutty malt emerge alongside subtle sweetness. The palate is clean and oily, with tangy citrus notes and substantial body. The finish remains bright and fruity, with hazelnut depth and a whisper of smoke.
