About
Port Dundas was established in 1811 at the highest point of Glasgow and became one of Scotland's largest grain whisky producers. This 15-year-old single grain is a rare example of the distillery's craft — Port Dundas closed in 1993, making aged bottlings increasingly scarce. Matured in a combination of sherry hogsheads, bourbon barrels, and first fill casks, this whisky achieves complexity through dual-cask influence. Bottled without chill filtration at natural cask strength, it preserves the full depth of the spirit. On the nose, delicate fruit and soft floral notes emerge. The palate balances rich sherry character with vanilla and oak tannins, while remaining light and refined for a grain whisky. The finish is fruity and lingering, with a subtle cereal grain texture that speaks to Port Dundas's heritage as a working distillery of the industrial era.
