Old Particular A Family Favourite Distillery 61.4% ABV

Sherry Cask

About

Cara Laing marked her twenty-year milestone at Douglas Laing & Co. with this personal Old Particular release, chosen from a true family favourite distillery. Douglas Laing, an independent blender and bottler since 1948, has remained committed to whisky integrity and craft — now in its third generation of family stewardship. Bottled at cask strength (61.4% ABV) without chill filtration, this single malt preserves the whisky's full character. The sherry cask maturation brings rich, dark complexity to the fore. On the nose: velvety fruitcake, treacle toffee and dark chocolate, seasoned with nuts, cinnamon and clove. The palate echoes this warmth and depth — a mature, generous dram with no sharp edges. This feels like a deliberate, personal choice rather than a routine release.
