The distillery employed a generous proportion of first-fill sherry casks for maturation, lending depth and richness to the spirit. The marriage of hogshead and sherry casks yields a creamy, full-bodied texture with a pleasant stone-fruit character. This is a whisky that punches above its price point: for those who love Glenmorangie 18 Year Old but crave more sherry influence, this offers a compelling alternative at the same age. On the nose, milk chocolate and vanilla emerge alongside melon and grapefruit. The palate is rich and well-rounded, with cinnamon, ginger, almond, and marmalade, rounded out by sweeter sherry and toffee. The finish lingers with spice and approachable oak.
