About
The Teapot Dram honours an old distillery tradition where workers received three fingers of whisky three times a day – a practice Glengoyne now celebrates through this batch series. Batch No. 011, overseen by distillery manager Robbie Hughes, follows the same philosophy: young, characterful, and age-statement-free. Bottled at natural colour and natural strength (59.7%), this is a sherry-driven dram. The rich, full body speaks to intense cask interaction, anchored by dark fruit and chocolate. On the nose: dates, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and dry sherry. The palate brings treacle, cinnamon, and marzipan, with a mouth-coating texture. The finish is long and sweet, with oak tannins and black pepper developing gradually. Proof that age statements don't tell the whole story – this dram shows what well-matured young whisky can achieve.
