Selection Olivier Blanc is the brainchild of Olivier Blanc, a French entrepreneur who spent four decades in the cognac industry before turning his attention to Scotch whisky. This Speyside Single Malt reflects that ambition: a whisky that marries French discipline with Scottish craft. The maturation regime tells the story: a minimum of three years in bourbon casks, followed by time in Oloroso sherry casks. This pairing delivers texture and depth without heaviness. At 43% ABV, it remains approachable yet mature enough for serious drinkers. In the glass, a pale gold hue. The nose reveals buttery character with vanilla undertones and restrained fruit. On the palate, the sherry influence emerges: soft toffee, dry cocoa notes, and a whisper of nutmeg. The finish is warm and lingering, without harshness.
