About
Glenkinchie stands as a cornerstone of Johnnie Walker history, known as the 'Edinburgh Malt' in Diageo's Four Corners of Scotland collection. This Lowland single malt is essential to the world's most iconic blended whisky. This special release, limited to just 3,000 bottles, honours Glenkinchie's vital role in the Johnnie Walker legacy. Founded in 1825 by brothers John and George Rate as Milton Distillery, Glenkinchie is celebrated for its light, delicate character—hallmark of Lowland whisky. The Lothians region surrounding Edinburgh, where the distillery sits, is renowned for its high-quality barley, which forms the foundation of this refined malt. The nose reveals wildflowers, dried grass and citrus zest, while the palate remains light and elegant with touches of vanilla and nutty cereal notes. The finish is smooth and subtly dry, a fitting conclusion to this distinctive Lowland expression.
