About

Glen Garioch was founded in 1797 by brothers John and Alexander Manson in the village of Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire, making it one of Scotland's oldest operating distilleries. Over more than two centuries, it has weathered ownership changes, Prohibition, and the search for reliable water sources, yet remains a respected name in Scottish whisky. This 10-year-old expression is matured in oak casks and delivers a balanced flavour profile. The nose opens with smoky cereal, nutty wholemeal toast, and soft toffee notes, with hints of apple and beeswax. The palate brings smoked vanilla and fruit, while the finish is warm and lingering. A straightforward, well-rounded Highland single malt that showcases Glen Garioch's characteristic smokiness without overwhelming the drinker.
