Ledaig
10 Year Old

About
Ledaig is Tobermory distillery's peated expression, a name rooted in 1798 when John Sinclair founded the original brewery on the Isle of Mull. In 2007, owner Burn Stewart revived the Ledaig brand with this 10-year-old peated malt—a deliberate reconnection to the distillery's heritage. Matured in ex-bourbon casks at 35 ppm peat, this is an approachable peated Scotch single malt. Non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, it avoids industrial shortcuts. The nose opens with soft peat and fruity sweetness—barley, malt, and a briny moss note. On the palate, smoke intensifies: ashy and medicinal, with black pepper and dry wood. Citrus (lemon, pear) and a whisper of honeyed sweetness cut through the smoke. The finish is warm and silky, with smoked meat and salty liquorice.
