About

Bruges Whisky Company is a young Belgian distillery that began in 2019 with Rogia, their new make spirit. This Inaugural Release, matured in just 38 months, marks their first official bottling—an ambitious statement from a startup house that refuses to wait for convention. The cask composition tells the story: Maple Syrup, Red Wine, Cognac, and Moscatel casks work in concert across a young, forceful spirit. This blend of American and European influences mirrors the cross-border ambition of the project. At 61.7% ABV, the spirit speaks plainly—no dilution, no apology. In the glass, a dark amber hue. The nose reveals ripe red fruits (strawberry, raspberry), vanilla, and a hint of Cap Corse-like bitter notes. On the palate, a full fruity sweetness echoes the nose, with the same red fruits and citrus. The finish is dry yet flavourful, with a lingering fruity tail that signals this young whisky already possesses a maturity many older spirits lack.
