About

The Last Drop was founded in 2008 by two titans of the spirits industry: Tom Jago and James Espey. Between them, they had spent decades building some of the world's most celebrated spirit brands, and their new venture focused immediately on sourcing and bottling the rarest, most exceptional spirits available. This 60-year-old Single Grain from Carsebridge distillery is the embodiment of that mission – six decades of patient maturation in a single ex-bourbon cask. The whisky's deep amber colour reflects that long journey. On the palate, it unfolds as wonderfully smooth and rounded, with notes of almond and clove, complemented by vanilla and oak tones that only decades of aging can produce. The finish is long and composed, lacking the harsh edges that sometimes characterize very old spirits. This is a dram for collectors and serious enthusiasts of aged Scotch – one to sit with quietly and contemplate, rather than rush. A rare glimpse into Scotch whisky's golden age.
