A.D. Rattray's 79th Cask Collection, released Spring 2026, brings together five individual casks sourced from distilleries more commonly found in blends and vattings. It's A.D. Rattray's answer to a simple question: what lies beneath the surface? Each cask is presented as found—single cask, natural strength, undiluted and unfiltered. These are the building blocks: the character, texture and structure at the heart of each distillery, before they are shaped into something broader. By placing five different casks side by side, you see a different perspective than the usual polished core expression—not refined, but the singular voice of each cask. A.D. Rattray itself traces back to 1868, when Andrew Dewar Rattray began importing French wine, Italian spirits and olive oil to Glasgow. The brand was revived in the early 2000s and has since focused on single cask bottlings drawn from Scotland's six traditional whisky regions.
