About

Reader's High is Ghent's first single malt whisky, born from the vision of Ief Stuyvaert of Bookz&Booze. This bottling pays homage to the Dadaist spirit — a movement that embraces deviation from the beaten path. Dada Chapel, the distillery behind this project, distils with the same freedom and experimental drive that defines Dadaism. Matured in a single cask and bottled at 45% ABV, this whisky offers an approachable yet full-bodied character. The nose opens with fresh fruit and citrus, joined by red apple and pear — a bright, orchard-like entry. On the palate, tropical notes emerge alongside vanilla and honey, anchored by oak and liquorice that provide structure. The finish is lively: citrus returns, followed by peppery warmth and a tobacco-like undertone that gives the dram an unexpected savoury signature. This is a whisky that doesn't aspire to smoothness or refinement — it is instead young, spirited, and full of character, with a personality that carries from nose to finish.
