Local Heros Sherry Bomb honours the people who have shaped Scotland's whisky story — the individuals and communities keeping traditions alive. This blended malt marks the beginning of Coleburn's revival as a historic Speyside destination, serving as a taster while the planned Whisky Resort takes shape. Matured in ex-Oloroso and refill casks, this 46% expression delivers warmth and richness without pretence. The nose opens with honey-roasted cashew, cinnamon and milk chocolate-coated strawberry, followed by granola and marmalade on toast. The palate turns nuttier, with hazelnut and walnut emerging alongside dried figs, apricots and raisins — all set within a creamy, vanilla-like texture dusted with baking spices. The finish runs medium, with lingering spiced chocolate and toasted oak. A whisky that wears its sherry maturation boldly: fruity, spiced, unapologetic.
