This 17-year-old whisky was initially matured in ex-bourbon American oak before finishing in port pipes, creating a harmonious blend of classic Scottish character and rich, fruit-forward port influence. The nose reveals cooked strawberries, melted butter, and subtle spice notes of ginger and cinnamon. The palate delivers poached pear, raspberry, and vanilla, supported by gentle toffee and oat cake notes. The finish is rounded and lingering, with dark chocolate, berry coulis, and coffee grounds, concluding with a pleasant sweet cinnamon note and hints of tobacco with pink peppercorns.
