Annandale's Ex-Oloroso Sherry is a robust and richly textured single malt from the Lowlands, matured in ex-oloroso sherry casks that impart deep, complex character. At a natural strength of 60.9% ABV, this five-year-old whisky delivers a full, oily mouthfeel reminiscent of crème brûlée, with a gorgeous natural chestnut amber hue. The nose opens with sweet notes of stewed apple, golden syrup, and dried fruits, followed by hints of vanilla and citrus. On the palate, malty characters dominate alongside fresh herbs, coffee, and walnuts, while the cask strength adds a dry, pointed complexity. The finish is long and smooth, with toasted oak and subtle smoke that fade gracefully.
