Auchentoshan Three Wood is a refined Lowland Single Malt that lives up to its name, matured through three distinct cask influences—bourbon, oloroso, and Pedro Ximénez. This triple-cask approach creates a complex, sumptuous dram with remarkable depth and character, earning it multiple spirit awards including Double Gold recognition. The nose reveals sweet aromas of honey, vanilla, and dried fruit—particularly raisins—alongside woody notes reminiscent of cigar boxes and fragrant French oak. On the palate, a creamy, full-bodied character emerges with dark chocolate, cherries, and citrus notes, balanced by warming ginger and prominent oak. The finish is long and satisfying, with toffee and dark treacle notes complemented by a subtle green fruit edge, creating a whisky that's equally at home as a winter sipper or special occasion dram.
