Clydeside Fortnight is the first peated single malt release from the young Glasgow distillery, crafted using 100% Scottish barley and water from Loch Katrine. This six-year-old expression is produced during the two-week period when the distillery produces smoky spirit, then matured in refill ex-bourbon casks. Non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV, Fortnight offers a balanced, complex peat profile that appeals to both seasoned enthusiasts and those new to peated whisky. On the nose, sticky honey, sweet peat, and baked lemon create an intriguing opening reminiscent of lemon curd by a bonfire. The palate reveals bright citrus and tropical fruit notes—pineapple and kiwi—with gentle peat smoke weaving throughout. The finish is soft and warming, with refill barrel spices and a deeper smokiness that lingers gracefully, evoking the hazy charm of old-school disco fog machines.
