After 19 years of maturation in a second fill sherry butt, this blended malt has developed remarkable complexity and richness. Bottled at cask strength of 54.4% ABV without chill filtration, it captures the full expression of its dual heritage. The nose reveals an inviting bouquet of sweet caramel, barley sugar and stewed figs, complemented by subtle oak hints and citrus notes. The palate delivers a thick, syrupy arrival with dried fruit, honey and bright orange zest, while a distinctive Chinese five-spice character adds intrigue. The finish is long and creamy, with echoes of mint, apple and lemon, finishing with gentle peppery warmth and a touch of aniseed in the aftertaste.
