Air Leth is a refined blended grain whisky from Murray McDavid, a respected independent bottler founded in 1996. This 29-year-old expression masterfully combines Islay and Lowland grain components with remarkable subtlety. Despite its considerable age, the whisky maintains a fresh and delicate character, with peat expressing itself in herbaceous and maritime tones rather than heavy smoke. The nose reveals a pleasing balance between both components, with sweet banoffee flavours and stewed fruit notes. The palate delivers tropical fruit—particularly pineapple—alongside honey and subtle sherry contributions, all supported by a creamy, oily mouthfeel.
