1991 34 Years Tri Carragh

Bourbon Barrel

About

North British is a grain whisky from Edinburgh with an impressive 34-year maturation. This independent bottling by Tri Carragh showcases the elegance that aged grain whiskies can achieve when carefully matured in refill bourbon casks. It's a refined expression that rewards patient grain whisky enthusiasts. On the nose, this whisky reveals pleasant marshmallow-like sweetness with notes of marzipan, almond and apple peel, followed by subtle cinnamon, coffee grounds and charred oak. The palate offers a creamy texture with hints of vanilla, toffee and soft oak spices, balanced by gentle warming spices. The finish is soft to medium length, lingering with vanilla-led toffee and a whisper of oak. This venerable grain whisky pairs beautifully with desserts featuring caramel and nuts, or savour it as a contemplative after-dinner dram.
