About
Glen Elgin is a Speyside single malt that lives up to its evocative name—rich, dark, and sumptuously sweet. This 14-year-old has been matured in sherry casks, developing a full-bodied character with layers of complexity that appeal to serious whisky enthusiasts. The nose opens with fresh coffee, milk chocolate, and caramel, underpinned by gentle, earthy smoke and hints of vanilla. On the palate, the whisky delivers a robust, syrupy mouthfeel with deep flavours of wine-soaked oak, fig rolls, and grilled pineapple. Gentle fruits—apples, peaches, and pears—blend harmoniously with honeycomb and porridge-like maltiness, while a subtle mineral note adds intrigue. The finish is warming and lingering, with cinnamon spice and the rich, dried-fruit character of sherry, leaving a satisfying impression of prunes and caramel.
