Dalmunach is a relatively young Speyside distillery, established in 2015 on the site of the former Imperial Distillery. This 10-year-old single malt has matured entirely in a first-fill ex-Oloroso cask, developing a rich and complex character at a robust 63.6% ABV. The cask's sherry influence imparts deep, layered complexity to the spirit's profile. On the nose, this whisky reveals generous chocolate and toffee aromas with hints of coffee, complemented by ripe red fruit notes of cherries and strawberries. The palate is full-bodied and sweet, with prominent toffee and chocolate flavours that evolve into drying oak and elegant sherry wine tannins. The finish is long and dry, characterized by gripping oak tannins and sherry influence that creates a memorable, peppery conclusion.
