About
Blair Athol 2011 TCaH is a compelling single malt from the Scottish Highlands, bottled by The Caskhound at 54.8% ABV. This 14-year-old expression showcases the maturity and complexity that define quality independent bottlings. Blair Athol's distinctive character emerges from its short fermentation process, which creates rich, deep malt-loaf notes that develop beautifully during maturation. The nose is rich and aromatic, revealing raisins, red berries, and plums alongside toffee, hazelnuts, and walnuts. On the palate, vanilla custard and apricots lead the way, followed by honey, caramel, and ginger sponge layered with toffee and brown sugar. The finish is warm and lingering, with persistent sweet and spiced notes that showcase the whisky's well-rounded character.
