Bottled at cask strength (52.4% ABV) after seven years of maturation, this expression captures the raw, unadulterated character that defines the island's peaty tradition. Backcorner Spirits' independent release showcases the distillery's distinctive maritime and smoky profile. On the nose, expect an inviting blend of sweet oak and peat smoke with delicate herbal notes. The palate delivers intense flavour with prominent sooty and ashy notes reminiscent of burnt chocolate cake and barbecue smoke, balanced by citrus brightness and hints of vanilla and toffee.
