About
Wagging Finger's Malt & Rye Project is an experimental Dutch whisky blending two distinct spirits: a matured malt and a young rye distillate. This 5-year-old expression showcases the distillery's bold approach, combining traditional whisky-making with innovative spirit combination and uncompromising character. The nose reveals an oily, sweet impression with pronounced rye notes and subtle spices coming through. Ginger, cinnamon, and orange bitters emerge alongside vanilla and the robust influence of new American oak. The palate is warm and spicy, with the rye remaining elegantly present without dominating. The finish is lengthy and warming, with lingering spice, ginger, and soft vanilla notes that pleasantly persist, leaving a memorable impression of this distinctive Dutch creation.
