Produced by Cley Distillery in Rotterdam, a micro-distillery founded in 2015 and committed to traditional craft distillation, this 6-year-old bottling strikes a remarkable balance between youthful vibrancy and refined maturity. At 48% ABV, it presents as a full-bodied and intensely flavourful expression that has earned recognition within the Dutch whisky community. The nose reveals bright citrus and fresh vanilla notes, followed by walnut and ginger. On the palate, the whisky is creamy and silky, displaying toffee, apple crumble, and warming spice notes including cloves and nutmeg. Oak provides a supporting backbone without overwhelming the spirit. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering fruit and chocolate notes that leave a pleasant impression.
