Ardbeg Eureka! is a bold and powerful single malt celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Ardbeg Committee. This non-age-statement expression masterfully marries roasted malt spirit matured in bourbon casks with the rich, fruity character of PX sherry casks. The result is a complex, full-bodied whisky that elevates Ardbeg's iconic Islay identity to new heights. The nose reveals a fascinating balance: classic Islay character—iodine and sea spray—is beautifully complemented by sweet aromas of strawberry, mixed berries, and citrus peel. On the palate, flavours explode with notes of nut toffee brittle, dark chocolate-covered raisins, and dark fruits, supported by a full, oily mouthfeel. The long, chewy finish is dominated by peppery spice, treacle toffee, and burning embers, with hints of tannic oak. Best enjoyed neat or with a touch of water to unlock all its complex layers.
