About
The Ardmore 2008 DT is a powerful Highland single malt bottled by independent bottler Duncan Taylor. At 54.10% ABV, this ten-year-old expression showcases the distillery's characteristic intensity and complexity. With a full golden colour, it presents a compelling balance between smoky and fruity elements that evolve beautifully on the palate. The nose reveals massive smoke, smoked fish, and damp hay, mingling with caramel, leather, and bright citrus notes of orange and lemon. On the palate, smoke and salt take centre stage, complemented by tobacco and corn notes, with a satisfying oily mouthfeel. The finish carries forward the peaty smoke with delicate structure, leaving a pleasant warmth. Best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water to unlock its full character. Pairs beautifully with smoked meats and seafood dishes.
